What is packing a dip?

Packing a dip is the process of placing a small amount of smokeless tobacco between the lip and gum. This type of tobacco comes in different forms such as loose leaf, pouches, and snus.

To pack a dip, you should first wash your hands to ensure there are no harmful germs that may come into contact with the tobacco. Then, take a small pinch of tobacco and place it in the pocket located between your lip and gum. Spit out any excess saliva that may have developed and avoid swallowing the tobacco as it can lead to ingesting harmful chemicals.

When using a pouch or snus, you don’t need to pack it like you would with loose leaf tobacco. Simply take the pre-packaged pouch and place it in the same pocket as traditional dip tobacco. It’s essential to remember that using smokeless tobacco products can have harmful effects on your health, including increased risk of oral cancer and other health issues.
